Welcome!

Thank you for visiting the website for Wilson Vance Intermediate. My name is Lyndsey Stephenson and
this upcoming school year will be my third year as principal of Wilson Vance a school that I am proud to call home, and twenty second year in education! I am so excited for the 2023-2024 school year!

As our mission statement says, at Wilson Vance, we work together, accept others, achieve excellence,
and take on the world. Our entire staff believes that all of our students are capable of being leaders,
and strives to help them to find their genius.

Wilson Vance is a proud Leader in Me school, where students utilize the 7 Habits to guide their daily
lives. Through this program, we have seen students take charge of their own learning, synergize with
others, and shine in leadership roles throughout the building. Academic excellence is a top priority at
Wilson Vance, and we work towards this excellence every day by setting and measuring goals, which we
call WIGs (Wildly Important Goals).

Another Wilson Vance point of pride is our incredibly diverse student population, which represents over
17 different countries! As the district’s home for the intermediate-level ELL (English Language Learners),
we are thrilled to meet new students from all over the world.

I am so honored to serve as the principal of Wilson Vance and to welcome you to our community. I feel
that our family and community support is largely responsible for the success of our school. It is going to
be an amazing year!
